ABOUT SEAN
Sean Leckie is the owner and head trainer of Blue Ridge Farms and an accomplished show jumping professional with an extensive career developing horses and riders through the upper levels of the sport. His experience in the show ring, combined with years of producing successful horse-and-rider partnerships, has established him as a respected trainer and horseman. Sean brings that depth of competitive experience to the Blue Ridge Farms program, helping riders pursue ambitious goals while developing horses with the confidence, skill, and foundation to succeed at the highest levels.

ASSISTANT HEAD trainer
Katie Taylor-Davidson has built a reputation as one of the West Coast’s leading hunter professionals, combining classical equitation, thoughtful horsemanship, and an exceptional eye for developing competitive show hunters. Her program focuses on producing horses and riders for the highest levels of the sport while maintaining a strong foundation in correct flatwork, style, and partnership.
A decorated competitor, Katie has earned numerous championship titles throughout her career, including multiple USHJA International Hunter Derby victories, major hunter championships, and nine equitation finals wins as a junior and amateur rider. Her standout achievements include winning the $50,000 Butet USHJA International Hunter Derby at Desert International Horse Park aboard L'Con Reyes, showcasing her ability to produce elegant, technically correct performances over some of the sport’s most challenging derby courses.
Katie also made history at the 2022 USHJA National Championships by capturing the top two positions in the $25,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby Open Section, finishing champion with In Bocca Al Lupo and reserve champion with Charismo.
Beyond the derby ring, Katie has been successful in developing and showing green and performance hunters, including earning the CPHA West Coast Green Hunter Incentive Championship aboard Princeton.

Devon Bridges is an accomplished equestrian professional and valued member of the Blue Ridge Farms training team. With a strong background in the hunter/jumper industry, Devon brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to developing both horses and riders. Known for emphasizing correct fundamentals, confidence, and effective communication between horse and rider, Devon works closely with each partnership to create an individualized path toward their goals. His dedication to horsemanship and rider development makes him an integral part of the Blue Ridge Farms program, both at home and in the show ring.
